Unfortunately it didn't survive the trip! Little did I know that folding up a floppy hat and stuffing it into your luggage turns it into a super floppy mess! :) Now it just hangs in my face, which will make it very annoying for gardening. But it kept me wrinkle free at the beach before it's death!
Welcome back!! You were certainly missed here in blogland...Your photos are beautiful. There is nothing like a vacation of relaxation with your hunny to get your spirit and self centered and joyful.
Oh wow! You all were so close, the beach looks amazing, we are getting ready to take Tessa on her first beach trip soon. This post might have made it sooner. Like tomorrow morning in fact.
Ryan- We drove all around you guys! Michael's Uncle gave us one of his cars and one of his condos in Daytona, so we road tripped the coast since we had a whole week to explore. I bet you will get the cutest pictures :) I can't believe that little one has never been the to the beach!! We decided on this trip that a beach getaway will be the first vacation we take any future little ones on. I grew up with my toes in the sand, and I hope to pass that onto my babies. I can't wait to see your pictures :)
I can't wait the new post, your pictures are once again so amazing! I'm dreaming of beach holidays too, we spend just 1 week in atlantic coast in France, but it was freaking cold for hanging out at beach more than 10minutes. Now in Provence we have summer back, but we live 1hour drive away from the beach and the highway costs much.. I miss it too much.
You inspired me once again, I'm really shy to try new things, even such a thing as clothes - I got new pair of jeans what are comfy, same sort of like yours and then a beach hat! I have never owned a hat, it's floppy, but has "iron bar" inside at the floppy so it can be modified and won't bet bad in bag. Thank you! :)
Love the photos! glad you had a nice time down here in my neck of the woods! About the hat--- I had the same problem where mine turned into a floppy mess, so I got it soaking wet, reshaped it and then dried it in the sun laying flat. It dried back into it's original shape again! yay.
i miss the south! you guys should go to ginnie springs sometime in florida. me and james went camping there a few years ago, seriously beautiful. http://www.ginniespringsoutdoors.com/
hi Aura...glad you are back from your trip...i have missed your beautiful blog. so sorry to hear about the death of your floppy hat...i just bought mine while shopping at Target this morning :)
you vacationed only an hour from where i live. i cannot wait until school is out in two weeks so i can take my daughter to the beach!
i am so grateful to live SO close to the beach... i try not to take it for granted. i've lived near the ocean my entire life and it STILL takes my breath away every single time and instantly puts my heart in a peaceful, blissful state. :)
Rachel- Be confident, girl! Women look their best when they're comfortable in their skin.
Sini- Only an hour away!?! I'd be there EVERY weekend. I was such a beach baby, and Michael loves to surf so we can spend hours there. We're both dreaming of living that close to the beach. I'm glad you got a floppy hat! I wear mine every time I work in the yard, and now it's just my general sunshine companion.
Becka- We sure were! We loved it there. We've been exploring towns all over, looking for home, lately. We added it to our list!
Anonymous- If you think he's cheating, I'd confront him and see how he responds. I have been cheated on in the past, and I can say that I should have gone with my gut instinct when it was happening. I think we all have it, we just need to tap in and make sure it's a true gut feeling and not just an insecurity. I know at the time, I wasn't at all insecure, and I had these feelings out of nowhere. Unfortunately I chose to believe him, and a year later found out that he had not only been sleeping around, but lying about other things as well.
Ariella- Thank you so so much! I was so excited to read your comment. I was afraid my hat was a goner :) I'll try this, this weekend.
Erin- When we were in Florida, I was telling our cousin about you camping there! I couldn't remember the name, though. If we go back that direction, I'd love to go there. The water looks so so pretty.
Shelly- You're a lucky girl :) I wish we were even a day drive to the beach.
Kelly Ann- My mind and body are in complete peace the minute I even smell the ocean. I'd love to live near it, someday.
Kelly- Yup! It was amazinggggg there. I had goosebumps seeing where the slaves were sold. I love a city with such intense history.
Your photos are beautiful as always. That water, sand and the sky so blue - wow - I can't wait to go to our fist beach visit this season. Thanks for sharing. I also did a little link love to your blog today. http://www.lifeologia.com/link-love/
Aura, You are right, it's actually really close, but I used to live next to the sea and lakes where could just take a bike or walk and go swimming :) So one hour feels more long.. and when the highway is paying,it feels like I don't want to use too often highways. BUT, when the sun comes back (hopefully next weekend!) I will drive to the beach, wheee! I'm waiting for the next post already, with the photos of the trip! And more pics of the cute pets you have, I'm maybe getting more close with the idea that we would take kitten, now my boyfriend is already smiling when I talk about it ;) Or maybe he is planning how to get away from the idea :D
I'm a new follower and I'm just looking through a few of your old posts. I love your blog and love that you spent some time in the nations oldest city. My husband is from St. Augustine and we both went to college there, met there, and were engaged and married there! hope you loved it!

St. Augustine? I hope so I went there when I was young and I am dying to go back to truly appreciate the history of the town.
Kayaking with alligators - EEP! I can't wait to hear more.
