Aura, I love how open you are! I am 19 weeks pregnant, and I wish I could show all of my belly pics on my blog and FB for the whole world to see, but my sister hasn't taken my pregnancy very well (she wishes she was pregnant instead of me)and so my parents are having a hard time showing their excitement at their first grandchild. Just as I was done looking at your post, she called me at work and made me cry. I'm sorry to add such a sad comment to your post, because it's such a beautiful post, but I thought at least I could tell a stranger about how sad I am that I can't celebrate as much as I want to. Maybe seeing your posts will give me the stregnth!
Oh my goodness you are adorable! I was hoping you would post a belly shot soon. I loved being pregnant and sporting the baby bump. Pregnancy was such a beautiful time in my life and it AMAZED me to think that I was actually making a brand new person! Loved the "parasite" comment as my husband and I also referred to our sweet babies as parasites. :)

Don't know if you'll remember me :) It's so strange how life and the internet works as I hadn't read your blog in almost a year and stumbled upon it because "Pacing the Panic Room" linked you and I find out you're pregnant the day after you post it! I have a sister that's 18 months younger than me, so I can totally understand the rivalry and jealousy that can sometimes ensue. My sister was married and is now pregnant with her second baby. I has happy when I found out she was pregnant the first time, but experienced a little bit of sadness, as my biological clock ticked LOUDER than ever that day :) However, Nicholas is the greatest little guy in the world and my heart explodes everytime I see a short video or photo of him. Your sister's sadness will pass. Baby's do that. Loving Nicky as much as I do has only taught me to happily wait in anticipation for my turn. And it will be amazing :) Celebrate, little ones are a gift that brings a family closer together than ever imagined.
SO cute! You're gonna be such a cute preggers. :) P.S. That song on your video...I promptly downloaded it (and the other 3 songs they have on itunes) and have been listening to it non-stop! Love it...

I read your blog and absolutely love it. I was reading this post on Sunday and had the strangest, what I guess you could call deja blog.
While reading about you finding out you were pregnant I thought hmm.. maybe that is why I'm having these pains. I immediately went and took a test and it was positive. I too sat in the bathroom and cried. I walked out and guess what? My boyfriend was sitting there in his underwear fanning a fire he started in our oven.
I thought this was just too bizarre not to share.
Oh, and our baby is half Persian too. =) I may need you to recommend some of those Farsi books one day.
Aura - I am so incredibly happy for you that you are having a baby! I've read your blog for a year now and have read many of your posts talking about your longing for a baby. So so so so excited for you and your hubby!!! I'm expecting my first baby in less than ten weeks. It has been the most incredible journey. I pray that you are feeling well, enjoying this time, and just loving your life at this very moment. Your baby will lead such a blessed and awesome life filled with so many great adventures. Congratulations girl!! So excited for you!!
