Happy Father's Day

Friends, I hope you get to talk to, or spend time with your loved ones this weekend. Make sure you wish them a happy day for doing all they do.

I'm so glad it's the weekend.

Tomorrow we'll spend time with my family and go out with some friends at night to see a band I saw live in Austin when I visited in April.
Sunday we'll be spending the day with Michael's family, swimming, cooking out, and enjoying the Summer sunshine. Summer Breeze in the park is that night, so we'll head there with Hunter for a little acoustic music outdoors.

On Monday, my cousin I've never met will be here visiting from Iran for a week, and the twins will be staying with us through next weekend. I get to play Mama to two almost-15 year old boys :)

What are your plans for the weekend?

Beautiful post. I feel the same way about my dad on so many levels. We didn't travel much but he's always said life is an adventure and wants us to make the most of it. I also get my love of trees, nature, and gardening from him.

Our weekend plans are pretty blah, pool, possible ToyStory 3 viewing, and homemade dinner tomorrow for Father's Day. On Monday however we are going to the Texas coast for a few days then road tripping to Ohio for a few weeks! Can't wait for that! Back to my roots I will go!

you, my dear, have such a way with words, that whether you're talking about your parents, or your other half, your dog, or your future bebes or gardening.. you make me a little teary eyed. Thank you for spreading your love to those of us who are part of your little corner of the net. :]
