This weekend's adventures -learning to fly.

We had the best weekend I can ever remember. My heart was beating so full of love to be in this city with my husband, best friend, and new adventures to be found.

We ate amazing food from little street vendors, saw the Givers (keep an eye on them, they'll be huge one day) made wonderful new friends, and jumped off 20 foot cliffs.
But not before running, holding hands, and screaming Thelma & Louise! with my best friend of 15 years, before taking flight off that big rock. I'll never do it again, just so that I'll never forget the way it felt to fly for the first time.

Just like in April when I got back from Austin and couldn't find the words to describe what this little community of love does to me, I'm without words.

Up Up UP, by the GIVERS. Take a little listen.

I am so glad you had a wonderful time. My boyfriend's sister got married in Austin and although he was in his teens he still talks about the buzz that town has. I would love to get there one day.

That cliff looks serious. Kudos to you for jumping off it, even if you never do it again you can check it off your list of things I did when I was living each day of my life to the fullest! oxox

We stayed in Austin for a night while on our honeymoon. I can not wait to go back and explore the city more. I did overcome my fear of bats there...well I faced my fear of bats by standing over their bridge and watching the millions of bats fly out at dusk! So crazy!
Rock jumping... not sure if I could face that fear. I think if I do try it, it will only be a one time thing like you! Looks like you guys had a blast.
XOXO

We live less than 2 hours from Austin, its a shame I've never been for more than a conference or passing through. I should make it a family goal to explore Austin sometime this summer... :)

Austin looks like such an amazing place, and somehow so different from how I imagine it, (however, I dont really know how I imagine it). I have never done anything so exciting as jumping off cliffs, but I must say you sure make it look like fun!

Thanks, everyone! We had so much fun, and can't wait to go back.

Anonymous #1: There's ALWAYS someone to go on adventures with! If not, go by yourself :) I was quite the adventurer when I was a little girl. I have no problems doing it now, but Michael always wants to go along.

Anonymous #2: Thank you so much. I honestly am probably NO help when it comes to Photography tips. I shoot completely in manual settings, and ever since I started that people keep asking me what I'm doing. Do you have an SLR? If you do I can give you basic shooting tips, but otherwise I am keeping all my editing to a minimum. I started shooting manually to avoid editing, because I get so bored with it. I use a Canon Rebel XT, nothing fancy :) She's 5 years old now, and pretty banged up.

Pam: That is so sad. Any chance of you two being together, again? If I don't end up in Austin, I expect Monica to follow me wherever I go :)
