Heading to the wilderness....

We're off in the morning for our road trip, so I'll be offline for over a week, friends.

We found out just a couple days ago that our Yurt is not accessible by vehicle, so we'll be hiking to it with all our gear and food in tow.
Here's to new adventures, and an entire 7 days of camping, fishing, hiking, and watching the stars.

Have a wonderful week, everybody.
And don't worry, we have bear protection.

Hi Aura,

I found your blog about a month ago... I absolutely love it!! You and your hubby are so adorable! I love your interior design tips, your photography skills, your taste in music... etc etc!!!!! I live all the way in Vancouver, Canada so it's cool to see someone else's life so close-yet so far away!

Anyways, I was going to recommend some music that you might like... Two Canadian artists, if you're ever looking for something new! 1) Dallas Green/City and Colour (the lead singer is Dallas, and his band is C&C)... Very awesome acoustic stuff... 2) Neverending White Lights - amaaaazing acoustic/poetic music :)

Hope you guys have a great time camping! Would love to hear back from ya! Also wondering if you had FB? Add me! kwp4@sfu.ca

cheers :)

Love, love, love your blog, beautiful all the way around! Hope you guys have a good time!
Also just a little post suggestion/request. Camping Tips! Necessities to bring (gear, food, etc) or really any general advise. My husband and I do love camping but have never really done anything over a day or two and its always in a very crowded campground where everything is provided. We are both just a little intimidated to go out "into the wild" (although he won’t admit that) I don’t know if we are adventurous enough for 7 days but I would love a 4 or 5 day trip. I really don’t know anyone who is an avid camper, any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Aura
Your site is lovely.Beautifully put together.A book you may enjoy..its possibly a bit obscure..Derek Jarmans Garden. He was a theatre performer who moved to a remote part of England. He bought a house by a nuclear power plant. He had aids and wasn't worried about location. He created this amazing garden from very barren soil and and took some incredible photos. This book is a mixture of beautiful writing and photography.

Hi, Aura- I just wanted to tell you how much I love your blog, and that it gets me through my work day. :) I'm an artist too, and dream of doing something creative for a living. I'm working on it, but while I'm still stuck in my cubicle, your writing, beautiful pictures, inspiring words, and brilliant personality cheer me up and inspire me. I'm a new "follower", but I've gone back and read almost all of your posts. Love love love them all. Thanks for bringing sunshine to my day.
