Come one, Come all! A baby shower for Jenson.

Last weekend my sister was in town, throwing a baby shower for her friend Abbie. With Abbie's sister Haley, they put together a carnival-themed shower with a candy bar, cotton candy, lemonade, and my favorite....a green apple buffet with toppings to choose from. I live off of green apples, and got sent home with leftovers. And a week later, I'm still chewing all those gumballs.

My sister is ridiculously creative, and designed and put together all the invitations, cupcake toppers, and paper goods. She told me she's always wanted to start a little business doing it on the side, and I think that once I get my website running, I will have to have a little section for all her cute little designs.

I've been to so many showers I can't even count them, and have thrown 4 baby showers in the last 3 years, myself. This was one of the most creative little themes I had seen, and it was a lot of fun.

Welcome baby Jenson!

Too much goodness here to comment on! Wow! This is amazing photography and amazing design - you are so lucky that you get to do this so often! I've never seen anything like that green apple buffet - I must try that one day :) Can't wait to see a website of yours. Exciting stuff! :)

Thank you, Annie! I'm still dreaming about the apple buffet!! haha. I actually threw that idea in last minute because I was craving a caramel covered apple (it's State Fair season!)
They were sliced, with hot fudge, caramel, sprinkles, and peanuts as the toppings.

This is just too sweet. Yes, you should put a section for your sister :) I think it would mesh well with your site. You both are talented.

Thank you, ladies!

Tamara- I have joked (only halfway) with my Mom about starting a business together and being a party duo. She can cook like you would not believe, and her shower food is always AMAZING. She makes the prettiest food.

Check out this spread from the shower I had for my sister last year: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2672/4186645680_dafc3c510c_o.jpg
I just like doing the whole theme/decorating part.

She made those little chocolate cups, too. She makes everything from scratch.

Amazing shower and gorgeous mama to be! I love her curly hair. I love the idea of an apple bar and will probably be doing this for an upcoming bday party for my daughter. Thanks for sharing!

Great idea! I love all the bright and cheerful colors. Baby showers are such a neat time... I love the themed ones (a great one shown here!) and I also love the simpler ones too. They're all special - celebrating a loved ones baby should always be, no?
Tell me do you use photoshop? I have photoshop elements, which of course is not as advanced, but I still need to figure out how to use it. I like how you put a solid color next to your photos...want to figure out how to do that! :)

Hi Aura, If you need subjects what to write about, I would love to get decorating tips for the house!

I am struggling to make this french tiny apartment to look nice, I want to make it look like a home. I have been looking the older posts already and got great tips but if you have something to share, it would be great!

I love the ceiling and how it mimicks a tent top! So adorable.

Unfortunately I've only been to a few baby showers...I don't think I'm old enough because not many of my friends/family are getting married or pregnant yet. I suspect in a few years things will be BOOMING!

I can't wait.
