Tasty things.

Lately, I really like taking pictures of tasty things.

1.) pears
2.) veggies from my garden (please stop growing)
3.) dried fruit my uncle brought from his orchard in canada

And this is my favorite room in the house. It's so bright and quiet. It gives me a minute (or ten) to think....

This quote. I love it.

PS. I made that especially for the person that told me to stop posting pictures of my feet.

You go girl! (about the feet) ;)

Things have gone "pear-shaped" in our house too - we can't seem to buy enough... they get inhaled!

And why do you want your veggies to stop growing?! I can't wait for a decent crop now that it is spring!

That first photo of you is beautiful :) Thank for the quote.

Ha ha..I love photos of feet! I take them all the time as well. Something about looking at the world at that angle, it's not something we normally do!

Why would someone tell you what not to take pictures of? That's really awkward of them.

That dried fruit looks very tasty! Dried strawberries are my fav. :)

Annie- I'm done gardening!!! I've been at it for 5 months, and I can barely look at my garden anymore. Not to mention it's a total jungle out there :)

Ladies- I have no idea why they told me to stop taking pictures of my feet! I thought that was the oddest thing. I've been taking feet photos for 10 years, and why they thought that I would stop over some faceless comment is beyond me.

Ahhhh that quote just reinforces how I am feeling my life should move at the moment. Your timing is always excellent Aura! Love the feet and fav room shots, very nice.

Thanks again for your inspirational posts!

Lovely pictures as always.

You have a vegetable that looks like a chinese cucumber. My friends brought me the seeds back from China - it's a climbing plant (my hazelnut tree is now growing chinese cucumbers) and it needs to be cooked like a zucchini.

Is that what I see in your picture?

Mel said...

Aaaaaw, I can't believe all these veggies are from your own garden ;)
I want to have a garden too, later.

Looks really great <3

whaaat, who can ask you to stop posting about your feet?? I love these photos! and by the way, your shoes are so nice ones!

And the tiny veggie that is curled, so adorable :) that wooden plate is amazing too, I really want more wooden things to our home. I wish I could do these still by myself, I have 2years studies of carpentry but after my accident with a horse I stopped doing it.

Oh wow I love the wooden bowls/platters! Such a great idea. You inspire me so much with your decorating and taste in food! Love the quote as well! I mentioned you in my blog a few days ago about your food week entry and how it inspired me. Thanks for the inspiration, keep it up!

So beautiful and inspiring! Someone actually asked you to stop posting pictures of your feet? People are interestingly so "human" at times...:)

I like feet pics too (http://www.flickr.com/photos/melissaoklahoma/4905454633/) They show you where you're going, where you've been.
And those tomatoes look juicy and yum! I love home grown tomatoes...perhaps I'll grow some of my own next year.

Maybe they really have an obsession with feet and just said that knowing you would spite them?:)

i love these pictures - food pictures are usually at the top of my list, with nature and cats!

having them on the wood makes them look so vibrant and organic, and the dried fruit looks very fall-ish!

..and maybe i'm crazy, but i've always liked looking at pictures of people's feet. i think you can tell a lot about someone by what their hands and feet look like (which includes shoe choices of course). haha.

Who told you to stop taking pictures of your feet!? I like your version of telling them to shove it:) Those shoes are TOMS, Melissa...commenter above me. They were created by a guy I graduated high school with named Blake Mycoskie, and for every pair you buy, a child in need gets a pair. One for One!!:) Buy some TODAY!! Love them:)

I have a question...how do you upload pictures so that people can't click through? Does that make sense? If you have time I'd love an email response!

These are really so beautiful! How do you get the color to look so "right"--the color on my photos is always kind of bluish?

I think some of my favorite photos are feet pictures!

I love feet pictures - my mom got me started on that. She said it's the best way to self portrait, that way people always know you were there. She always did this when her and my father would travel to different countries on the beach etc. Keep the feet coming, this way I can live vicariously through you and your shoe collection and your adventures ;)

P.S. Those TOMS are adorable. I wish we had a better selection here locally, they just seem so comfortable and the cause alone leave me wanting them more.

You take the most AMAZING pictures, even of the most ordinary things. You have so much talent! I love your blog.

Are your shoes by TOMS? If so, do you know if that style is still available?

Thank you
