Thank you so much for all your sweet comments over the last week, friends. I wish I could write back to every single one of you. My heart is so happy.
These are the last couple months in a few images. Don't worry, this will not become a baby blog, but I will update with my weekly photos.
Before Michael and I ever decided to have kids, we talked about how our life would change with them. We are still us, and I am still me. Baby is a little mix of us that we will add to the family, but baby is not my identity. There are still so many things in this world that I love to take pictures of and tell stories about.
The next biggest thing on my to do list is to tell the story of our trip to Colorado. I took a pregnancy test the day after we got home and found out our little yurt baby had been with us all along, so it seemed only appropriate to wait until the news was out to start that story. So in the next couple weeks, I will tell you all about the last little trip we took as just the two of us.
*The first set of these pregnancy photos I fell in love with was the series that Ryan did for his wife Cole when she was pregnant with their little girl. I've seen lots of similar ones along the way, but his is always my favorite.

aura this is such a beautiful post. thank you for sharing your thoughts and "growth" with us. you two are going to be amazing parents and i am sure the fears will continue, but as you said, you will do your best, you are surrounded by people that love you and you love this little bean more than anything. that really is the most important thing. i just love how you are telling your story through images and words. beautiful. continue to rest and take it all in.
Your life is beautiful Aura. We (your readers) are blessed to be able to share this amazing chapter with you. You're a wonderful storyteller and your little adventure baby will always be asking mom to "tell me the story about this... tell me the story about that!".
Congrats (again!)

We're hoping to start trying in about a month or two and reading your post and photos has left me so incredibly excited. Thanks for sharing all of this with us. Don't be scared - I think you will know exactly what you need to do when the little joon arrives!
I'm actually going to start scheduling regular haircuts, just so I can poke your bump again. Haha.
una barrigita preciooooooooooosa!
Don't ever grow up! My fiance is such a child at heart, and I see how much fun he has with our daughter because of it. I've been trying to stop being such a grown up all the time because life really isn't so serious ALL the time. :]
ps. You are absolutely beautiful.
Your pics are very great <3
Congratulations to your pregnancy, I feel very happy for you :)

Beautiful post and baby bump! had no idea u were expecting....A new life!.
and a lot more love to give and receive.
What a beautiful post and your absolutely gorgeous. Your baby is so lucky to be born into such a wonderful family. =]
I have a question, where did you get the skirt your wearing in the 11 week letter? I absolutely love it!
Woo hoo our kids will be the same age :) Our baby is due on the 30th!
I love the way you wrote this. I felt every emotion.
I'm truly, truly happy for you! You are a beautiful mom-to-be!
I just came up on your blog and am so moved. Congratulations. Even though I can't have children, I love to see other people going through the process. It makes me dream of the possibility...
I teared up at this entry, especially the part about being two barely adults. I relate so much. My Sprout will be here in 13 weeks (give or take) and sometimes it still doesn't feel real. Then I feel a huge kick and it reminds me of the life that's half me half him inside me. Beautiful post, thanks for putting into words a lot of what I've been feeling for months.
Definitely continue the weekly photos and letter to your little bean. Pregnancy goes by so quickly, you'll love looking back at all this when you bubba is in your arms! bisous xx
Oh what a beautiful record. As the previous poster said, pregnancy will be gone so quickly that you'll be looking back on this with such joy when you're holding your little peanut.
Blessings to you three x
Aura, you are going to be a wonderful mom. I have two babies (somedays I still can't believe it and I'm completely overwhelmed with love and joy that I could be a part of helping these little people become grown-ups) my oldest is three, and everyday is amazing. Some days involve more poop than others, but even then it's not that bad! You're going to love it (based on what you let the world know about you :D) and that little person is going to amaze you every day (and sometimes frustrate you- but usually just amaze you). Don't worry about doing everything "right". Just get to know your baby, and he or she will teach you most of what you need to know about being a mommy!
This was a beautiful post! Congratulations, and I hope there are no more scary times to come. You look beautiful!

It's amazing how happy I can feel for someone I've never even met. But I am so happy for you and your husband. We just found out we are expecting our first, too. I'm 4 weeks today and so scared it's not real, something I've dreamed and it's going to go away. I can't wait to hear the heartbeat and tell the world! Congrats again, I'm excited to follow your journey and hopefully I'm not too far behind.
How beautiful and special! Thanks for sharing this time with us, its very inspiring x

Aw I love your posts, but I think I am going to love them even more now. You will be a great mommy, I don't think anyone ever thinks they are quite ready for it.
QUESTION: How did you center your page links underneath your header?

oh aura, this is all so precious. as is the little one you're growing. thinking of you x
Gosh, it is the loveliest post I have read so far. Like...ever! It is exactly what it feels like - insecure, vulnerable, doubtful and happy like crazy! Congrats and I want to pass on the best words someone told me in my pregnancy:
children are the children of their parents.
So of course life´s gonna change (how could it not change!), but babies are pretty adaptable and will be happy as long as mum and dad are.
You will rock as a mum (telling from your beautiful little blog!)
Sooooo so happy for you!! You look beautiful!

I honestly cannot stop smiling. You and hubby will make wonderful parents! Adventure baby Joon is lucky to have you as a mom ;)
Just found you via sweet Jodi @ Che & Fidel.
Such a gorgeous place you have here and such an exciting time ahead of you. It really is the most amazing thing, bringing a little person into the world. xo
You seem to be the kind of mom I always wanted and still hope to be.

I don't want to be a downer ... but that picture of you looking so cute kissing your cat, makes me cringe a little. Now that you are pregnant you should be really careful around cats because they transmit Toxoplasmosis. Your ob probably mentioned this, but I would not only be careful when handling their feces, but also when interacting with them altogether. I know this is hard since you have a few cats at home, but try not to kiss them or put your fingers into your mouth or on your food after petting them. Toxoplasmosis does horrible things to the developing fetus, and you want to be as careful as possible.
Again, I really don't want to be a downer (even though I am right now) or to be critical in any way. I have been so hesitant of sending you this little message for a few days, but I would rather say something just in case you didn't know.
I hope your pregnancy will go well. You and Michael will make amazing parents.
OH MY GOSH! CONGRATS to you both!! Y'all will make FANTASTIC parents! You are real, giving, honest open people. You look so cute with ur lil baby belly!
I missed so much! OH my goodness!!! Congrats to you and Michael I am SO, SO SO happy for you Aura!! oxox Such a blessing and I can't wait to hear about all the adventures you and the baby and Michael have together!!! ox
i'm really happy for you and hubby for the baby, Aura! :)
Aura, I just came across your blog and read this post and I immediately began to tear up. I'm 18 weeks pregnant myself and can so relate to many of your letters to your little one. From the initial fear to the ultimate excitement...I felt all of the same emotions! I often say that our baby is going to be a life changing addition to our family but it also won't be my identity. It's as if you are speaking words right out of my mind. I look forward to following your journey...it was nice to meet you :)
Mazel tov Aura!
What an amazing and beautiful post. I hope your baby sees this someday.
This is the first time I've been on your blog and you've given me a little bit of wet eye with your lovely letter to your baby. So sweet. Such an amazing journey ahead for you. And what a beautiful little bump you have! Kellie xx
