What I've been working on...

Sorry for the quiet, friends. I haven't been online much, but it has really been a nice break. My mind is always so quiet when I am away from the tv and internet.

We're down to the last couple weeks until the baby is here, (any day now!) and I've been so busy trying to get everything finished. In the moments I have left, I am trying to spend my time enjoying this calm before our worlds are turned up-side-down. The weather has been so lovely, and today I spent the afternoon and evening swinging on the porch swing, getting some sunshine on my big, round belly. I am glad we have a privacy fence, because I look pretty ridiculous in my teeny bikinis, these days.

Here are a few things I've been working on around the house, and for the shop.

This weekend I washed and put away all her little clothes, blankets, and socks. Everything is in it's place, and ready to go. We're ready for you, little baby.

you always take such beautiful pictures :) i was curious though, does your cat ever mess with the flowers and other lovely items you bring indoors? my three cats love to gnaw on branches, flowers, succulents... everything! :( congrats on your baby. can't wait to 'meet' her :)

Aww. Seeing all of those picture books makes me smile. I'm really glad my parents spent so much time reading to me when I was little-- I'm sure that's where my love of books was born!

Best of luck with the little one. :) This must be such an exciting time!

oh, i love those yellow flowers - i may just have to pop into the flower shop down the street and pick a few pretties up for our home as well!

glad to hear you're keeping some time to yourself these days - it's so easy to get caught up in all the things that need to be done before your little birdie gets here!

Om shanti sukha Om - joyous and peaceful birth to you sweet Aura. I remember in the last few weeks (i went to 42weeks with Che) I was really impatient and wanted it to end so badly. And then a friend said to me: "You will never again be one with this baby. Try not to grasp too hard for the journey to end." I started to relish in the wholeness of us and before long contractions began.

May the transition of birth be safe for you and baby. Breathe, surrender and embrace.

Thinking of you from across the oceans x

Hi! I've been following your blog for a while now, but have never commented.

I love your photography and outlook on life.

I'm going to Spain for a month and hop I have internet, because I don't want to miss you having your little bird. Surely you can hold her in a little while longer? :)

PS: Please check my blog out if you get a spare moment.

I hope that the lovely weather you've been having is on it's way over here to Alabama. We are anticipating 70 degree days this weekend and I'm so happy. Mike has even mentioned taking out the kayaks. The water is still freezing but if I can stay in the boat it will be all good.

Everything looks amazing girl. Wonderful work. I can't wait for you guys to bring your little bundle of joy home, her room is precious! oxox

I'm not sure of your exact due date but just wanted to let you know, if you didn't already know, that first babies have a tendency to be late. My first son was born at 41 weeks 3 days and my second at almost 42 weeks! So if people start asking if you've had that baby yet and if you get tired of answering, you can direct them here:

:)

Enjoy the last few days/weeks of your pregnancy! Her room is beautiful. Happy happy birthing!

Serendipity! That's how I feel about finding your blog.
Your beautiful photos are so inspiring to me. I'm a nature-loving mama who also works outside of the home, and as a result doesn't seem to have time to decorate or spend much time on artistic endeavors. The way you use simple items from nature and arrange them in such unique and lovely ways in your home has shown me that I can do amazing things with what is already surrounding me in my world.
Best wishes for a safe and fulfilling birth experience. The first time is special beyond words.

You will be a lovely mama. And your hubby looks like a sweetie who will be a great dad. There's nothing more sexy than a loving father ;)
