Happy 4th July from Australia! :) I loved the shot of you lying down with your legs stretched out the people in the background... nice use of focus! And wow! You were able to photograph the fireworks! :)

Ahhh, beautiful pictures. I almost felt like I was there (minus that fireworks smell!).

It's been raining here in TX for over a week now, thanks to the hurricane. Even though my plants would like some sunlight, I'm secretly loving the break from the heat. Your fireworks photos are the best!

I love the way you tell stories. I think everyday should be lived making memories. It seems like that is what you do :) It's inspiring.

Thank you, ladies!

I'm so sorry to those of you who commented last night and today. It seems like blogger is having problems with comment moderation and every one is losing all of their comments from that time period. I didn't delete you guys on purpose :(

As always, LOVE your pictures! What book are you reading? I'm looking for a good summer read and would love some ideas.

The rain plague has hit all across the country! I'm in Miami & we had 6 inches of rain in 2 days (compared to a whopping 1.5 inches in may).
Your pictures are amazing, they make me feel like I was there. I would love to see an update of your gardens progress.

I don't know if you got my question and comment, this same is on my blog and I can't see the comments there. I hope your garden wont die because of the water!

anyway, i had a copy on my email of it ;)

Hello Aura! I'm really glad that you can help with the camera settings!
I understood that you are working with natural light and try to use the settings of the camera more than editing in Photoshop afterwards. And this is also what I would like to do (not to copy your style, but just to learn how to use the cam). So how you take these light photos, I tried leaving shutter open as long as can, but it didn't affect like I was expecting. I tried to change also the white balance to get some light colors but it's not enough.. So how you do it? :)I know it's really hard to tell step-by-step instructions, but all tips are welcome for this!

These pictures made me really glad that I have my own hammock downstairs on my patio. I'm headed down there right now. :) Glad your holiday was wonderful.

That last picture is amazing. You're my kind of woman. Book, walks, chill. I like it.

i'm a sucker for kittens too...and that one is disturbingly adorable!

please tell me you magically found him an amazing and loving home over the weekend? :)

unless you ended up keeping him, which is much better!

I love three day weekends and yours looks amazing. Your photos are gorgeous as always and I hope all the rain doesn't destroy your little garden.

Your blog is my favorite.

I love the city, but this definitely made me itch to get out and escape to Cape Cod or upstate for a bit. I always need a balance, or else I go stir crazy.

Where did the wee little kitty end up?

What beautiful images! You capture moods so beautifully ... reading through these reminding me of reading a picture book ... love it! You inspire me to experiment more with photography, though I'm very much a beginner with more camera than I can handle :).

Always a pleasure to stop by ...

Thank you, ladies! It was a wonderful weekend.

The baby kitty ended up with a neighbor of Michael's parents. I was a little sad to see him go, but I'm glad that I didn't get stuck with him :) Fig was out "foster cat" and I ended up getting so attached. We sure didn't need a third cat!

You make me want to move to small town Oklahoma. I hope your garden can be saved.

This is so awesome. Happy Belated 4th!!! We were amazed at all the great fireworks we got to see in the small town where I grew up this past holiday. They were everywhere you turned. I actually almost fell over I got so dizzy moving around to see them. In all directions it was awesome! These images are beautiful!!! ox

I absolutely envy you for having the most adorable cats ever. I wish I could have a pet, but I'm allergic to fur, :( So I guess I have to make do with just squealing over them from a distance. Haha.

Adore the way you captured the life in the images. awesome. (:
