Bringing the outdoors in - F A L L

I'm sorry this post is a bit late, friends. I've been busy-beeing with other things and let it slip my mind.

As the last of the leaves start to change on the trees and disappear, I try to hang on to as much of the outdoors as I can to get me through the next few months until it's Spring again.
This Fall I decorated with branches, leaves, and pine cones that we brought home from Colorado, and huge ones my parents brought me from their camping trip to Sequoia National Park this Summer.

My little leaves changed and dropped off the branches before I had a chance to photograph them. You can clip them early, fill vases with them and enjoy their beautiful leaves for a couple weeks before they drop. They don't last as long as the Spring time blooms, but they give a good show before they're gone.

In the height of a Southern Hemisphere Spring (that's hot enough to be Summer) and after skimming a couple of my regular blog reads whinging about Xmas/money/everything, it is lovely to click on your blog and see more of your beautiful pictures that just calm my spirit again. Thank you.

These decoration posts and where you give tips are so nice ones! I'm waiting the christmas decoration already, I've been visiting the older posts to see how to make something nice. I can honestly say that we don't even own christmas decoration, so it's time to buy some and make our house looking nice soon :)

Pretty! I have collected pine cones from our neighborhood and want to paint some white. Did you paint yours?

And, I also have a long wooden bowl like you have! I got it at Affair of the Heart in OKC. (Have you ever been to that?) I think they're called "dough bowls." I like how they add such natural texture.
