Happy Weekend, Friends.

Happy weekend, friends. I'm ducking out early and calling a much-needed 4 day weekend. In the morning we're leaving for our Babymoon, one last trip together before the little lady is here.
We had planned months ago to head to the beach and camp for a few nights, but a last-minute forecast change to rain called for some new plans. So we're loading up the car and road-tripping to Austin, to see Monica, eat some of that yummy Austin food that I love, and to raid the sale racks at Anthropologie. And no trip out to Texas would be complete without a 3 hour stop at Ikea, to finish buying little items like baskets for the nursery.

I am always filled with anxiety the night before a trip. Already missing and worrying about the cats, and trying to soak in all my favorite bits of home - sunshine patches on the rugs, my bike, and the little familiar comforts that make it what is is.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Stay warm.

Have a great time!

I hope you have a terrific babymoon darling :) Soak it all in. This time before she gets here is so precious, when it's still just the two of you (well sort of considering she's with you all the time :).

I would love to hear some of your favorite spots in Austin! We will be road tripping this summer from Key West to Seattle, Austin is one of our pit stops. My husband and i are in love with a city we have yet to visit. We can't wait! :)

Enjoy your babymoon and the trip to Ikea, I'm green with envy!

Safe travels & enjoy your babymoon- my husband and I waited way too long to go on our first little trip before our baby and it made for swollen feet and an uncomfortable road trip! LOVE the first photo of you with the sun light!

Where-oh-where are those curtains from?! The green ones with the bird print mixed in. Love the shade & especially the print.

I have just begun reading your blog and I really appreciate your take on Oklahoma. My husband and I have lived here for a little over two years, coming from the North I wasn't so sure how I would like it. But, I do. We have committed to going camping this Spring and are determined to finally explore the state.

Enjoy your trip, I hear Austin is wonderful, safe travels.

I just found your blog and love it! I've spent the last hour reading over old posts and such! I'm a fellow Oklahoman (from Edmond) and so it's great to see someone else from here! And my son is 5 months. Mommyhood is fantastic!

Thank you so much, every one! We had a very relaxing trip, just what we needed.

The green curtains are from Urban Outfitters, and they are even prettier in real life than on the website! I'm so glad I finally purchased them.

Liz- Monica lives one block from that Whole Foods/Anthropologie. I really think she lives in just about the most amazing spot in town. I am willing to bet your friend is gorgeous, because every one that works there is a stunner!

Ashley- About 10 hours south of here is a place called Mustang Island. I camped there on the beach in 2004, and it was wonderful. I've been trying to get back ever since!

Taylor- You can reach me here: auramobile@cox.net

Colleen- Even with the rain, the weather was still wonderful! It felt like Fall, which was a much needed break from our highs in the 20's :)

Jesse- I love that all the sweet people that read my blog know me well enough to know the art I would appreciate :) I have one of her prints picked out for the nursery, I am just waiting to make sure I have room. Since hers are more expensive than some of the other art I purchased on Etsy, I wanted to make sure that I had a place for it. Thank you for thinking of me!
